Friday Favorites

Nothing makes for a better Friday than knowing that we are rolling into a three day weekend.

Harper had a great first week at nursery school, she loves her teachers & always comes home with funny stories to tell me. Both girls had their checkups, I will share updates on both of them next week! And our family photographer, who we now call one of our best friends, came out for a playdate this week & we decided to have a fun photoshoot with the girls at the pool since the weather was so nice in the morning. This picture cracks me up, Harper was so excited & anxious to get in the water & Eloise was about to fall asleep in big sister’s arms. Little retro beauties!!

I also signed up for my very first Barre class this week, have any of you done it?! I’m nervous because I not only feel very out of shape, but it has been a long time since I’ve done an actual workout class. I have heard amazing things so I’m excited to see how it goes. At the end of the day it is 50 minutes of no dirty diapers or messes to clean up, so it’s off to a great start.

I’m working on a fun little gallery wall on the wall opposite Harper’s bed. I’ve been collecting a few fun prints & can’t wait to get them framed. I ordered this one a few weeks ago, it just arrived & I am in love with it! It’s called Girly Type, can you even handle the cuteness? I can’t decide which letter is my favorite, loving the pocketbook D or the slippers H.

Some of my other favorite finds this week include this Kitty Dress that Harper actually picked out when we saw it in Target, she loved it & I am totally obsessed with the colors. I am also loving the new Too Faced BB Cream (in Vanilla Glow) that I have been using for a few weeks now, I was a little skeptical at first because it is a lighter coverage, but it does such a good job of evening the skin tone & adding a hint of color without being too thick/cakey. Most days all I wear is BB cream & mascara, so it has to be good & this is my new favorite! 😉

For Labor Day weekend, we are having our friends & family over for the first Iowa game tomorrow, so so so excited!! I love football season so much! We are planning to grill chicken & brats, and I am planning to make some over sized, over the top potato skins, stay tuned! 😉 I also want to try this recipe for Cilantro Avocado Deviled Eggs, the perfect gameday appetizer!
My parents will get here this weekend as well, so we are beyond excited to see them & help them settle into their new house, I will be sure to share some pictures as well. It already has a chalkboard wall, it was meant to be!
