Playing Dress Up at Rent the Runway

When I was in college, my girlfriends and I always talked about how much fun it would be to be able to rent dresses to wear for special occasions. It always seems like when you have something fun coming up, it’s impossible to find the right dress. And of course it never fails to find some sort of sparkly, fancy gown that you fall in love with when you have absolutely no where to wear it. I have always wanted to try Rent the Runway after hearing rave reviews from so many of my girlfriends, and Vegas was the perfect opportunity!! I had originally planned on renting something online, because the reviews of each dress are so in depth & easily give you an idea of how each thing fits. But instead, we accepted the opportunity to come in and visit the store for a styling appointment to try on a bunch of dresses in person instead, so fun!!!

We gave our stylist (Arielle, who was ahhh-mazing!) our sizes, favorite styles, colors, etc. and told her our plans for the night, and she picked out a few looks that she thought we would love. Of course, she hit the nail on the head, and had so many great picks! These were just a few of the styles that we tried on, and as I mentioned in my last post, I picked the lace Cynthia Rowley romper in navy, which I never wanted to take back! Check out the whole rompers & jumpsuits section, there are seriously so many cute options! Can you guess which dresses were our second runners up?
I cannot say enough good things about our experience, the amazing customer service & their super fun selection of dresses. The best part about renting online too, is you can order a backup size for free! We are excited to be teaming up with them for a Mother’s Day look for this weekend, and it’s not too late for you to snag something fun to wear! I can’t wait to share our picks, Harper loved scrolling through dresses with me & helping make the final choice!
You can save $20 off your first rental here, and if you decide to do it or have done, please come back and tell me which outfit you chose!! I would love to hear! 🙂 And a huge thank you to our new friends at Rent the Runway for such a fun experience, we can’t wait to rent again!

The bright pink dress you're wearing is the one I am scheduled to rent for a wedding a month from today! Super excited about it because it looks adorable on you. Husb is the best man so, momma has to look good 🙂

RTR is the best! I used them for NYE and loved them! Great choice with the romper too, now I want to see the rest of the rompers they have!

That's so funny! I just received my first RTR dress for a Kentucky Derby party I'm going to this weekend. I was amazed by their customer service. My second size wasn't available so they let me pick a second dress, up to 2x the value of the other dress. I love them both and am having such a hard time deciding! Love the romper on you!

I was just in Tahoe for a bachelorette and the bride did this. She got two dresses which were were SO cute, and she looked amazing. They were great quality. I've never done Rent the Runway before, but it is such a perfect option for those special days!

Glad you had a good experience there, hopefully things are better than when I tried the service. I used it for a wedding last October and they never sent my dress… It was scheduled to arrive the day before the wedding, I got an email saying it was delayed till the next day. When I emailed them they assured me the dress would arrive before noon, which worked for me. Until the day came, and the dress literally just never showed up. On the phone with them on hold for over an hour and they did absolutely NOTHING.

I just got my first RTR dress (the Badgley Mischka Manhattan Socialite dress) in the mail yesterday… I was hesitant because I wasn't sure it would fit, but it is PERFECT. I'm wearing it this weekend for a bachelorette trip to the beach – sequins were the bride's request, so I'm showing up in lots of them. I seriously wish I had another excuse to wear it before I have to send it back!

This post made me so happy as I've been eyeing up a dress for an upcoming wedding in July. I tried to use the code this morning but it says it is invalid. Do you know if there is a minimum amount you have to spend in order to make the code work? Thanks so much!! Love everything about your blog!!
