Halloween 2018

If you’re like me, it’s time to talk about all things Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I just couldn’t let the holidays come and go without squeezing in our Halloween recap. This was hands down our best Halloween ever. The new neighborhood, the girls ages, the perfectly crisp, ideal Fall weather. Everything!! The girls are still talking about it!

We really got to make the most out of Halloween, we hosted a party with a bunch of friends the Friday night before, couples costumes and cheese trays are always my favorite things! During the week, the girls had parades & parties at school and a trunk or treat at church. Then on the big night, we heated up some chili on the stove and got right into our costumes. We love doing a family costume, and since this year the girls costume choices already went together we decided to get in on the fun. Brandon was a good sport in his ghost attire, despite the overwhelming smell of sharpie! 😉

We had way too much fun trick or treating and stayed out until their buckets were full! My parents hung out at our house and handed out almost 800 pieces of candy throughout the night. Afterwards we did our annual “last viewing of Hocus Pocus” and went to bed in our Christmas pajamas!! 😉 So ready for all of the holiday festivities to begin!!

Hope you had the most fun Halloween ever, until next year! XO

I have been quietly following you for years. You have such a beautiful family and such a lovely way of sharing it with your readers. I finally looked at Instagram and saw these beautiful young ladies and it seems like it wasn’t that long ago that chalkboard went viral! Best wishes as you and brandon raise those lovely girls!

Did your grandma ever make you a jello poke cake?! Did your grandma ever make you a jello poke cake?! They’re so fluffy and refreshing!! And always our girls birthday cake request! It’s too easy: make a white cake (from a box), poke holes in it with a toothpick, make jello according to directions in a saucepan and pour over top, and then put in the fridge for 3-5 hours to cool and set! Frost with whipped cream and serve chilled!!

Impulsively painted this little powder/laundry roo Impulsively painted this little powder/laundry room green and I’m obsessed. Sacrificed just one sweatshirt and my favorite pair of socks because I was way too lazy to change into painting clothes but overall: worth it. Also don’t look too close, 100 year old plaster walls are the opposite of smooth. On the hunt for some fun art next!! Swipe for before and afters 🖤
