Five Spring Beauty Favorites

One of my favorite things to read about in blog land are hair + beauty favorites. I love reading reviews & hearing what products people have tried & loved. I feel like I give up on beauty products in the winter, my hair is always dry & full of static, I see no point in having a tan when I’m constantly wearing sweatshirts & we don’t go near as many places when it is cold, so who needs makeup? 😉 But once Spring rolls around, it’s game on, so I thought I would share with you my top five current faves!
TanWise Sunless Tanner // Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer // DryBar Triple Sec // Voluminous False Fiber Lash Mascara // Jergens BB Body Cream

Tanwise Dark Bronzing Mousse paired with the Tanwise Face Tanning Gel are the perfect Spring self tanning combination. I have tried them all, and have fallen victim (only to blame myself) to many streaky, orange tans! But I am convinced that I have found the perfect self tanner, only bronze, no hint of orange. I like to use the gel on my face because it gives you plenty of time to rub it in without drying too quickly, and no oily feeling left behind, so you are able to apply makeup right away. It is very subtle color too so you can use it often & not worry about too much color. I have used this gel on my chest & arms as well when I don’t have the time to do a full application with the mousse, but come summertime, I think the entire duo will be necessary! The mousse is amazing, it is very full color (be sure to avoid the knees & elbows) but you can see the color as you apply it so it is really easy to get a good, non-streaky tan. I also recommend using an applicator glove because this stains your hands pretty harsh. Although Mrs. Jones Soapbox Scrub will take it right off! 😉

Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer & L’Oreal False Fiber Lashes Mascara are two of my very favorites, both which can be found at Target as well but are often sold out. I am always willing to spend more on good makeup, but these are both crazy affordable & I love them far more than any expensive alternative.

I tried DryBar Triple Sec Texturizer on a whim as we stopped in the new DryBar that opened near us & instantly fell in love. For someone with thin, fine hair, this is a dream!! It works as a dry shampoo, amplifier & texturizer, and seriously smells amazing! I first bought a sample size bottle & immediately went back for the full size. I love this as an all-in-one product to avoid having to wash my hair every day & to give it tons of volume & texture for styling. Quite possibly my favorite hair product of all time!

Jergens BB Body Cream has been a long time favorite as well. I used to shy away from Jergens lotions because of the scent, but this scent is very subtle & smells good. This is the perfect lotion for Spring when you start to show a little more skin, I always dread wearing shorts & dresses for the first time with dry winter skin, so this is a must-have for me.

For my everyday makeup, my favorites are Too Faced BB Cream (in vanilla), Nars Bronzer (in Laguna) & L’Oreal Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner. I am not really partial to anything else specifically, I am always open to suggestions for great shadows, blushes & lip color! Now it’s your turn, have you tried any of these? What is your Spring beauty product that you can’t live without?!

Urban decay makes the most amazing eye shadow primer. I mean, life changing. I like the shiny copper tube! Your eye shadow stays on for days….. Great for pregnancy lol mornings can be tough enough!

I can second the maybelline concealer and brightened and I LOVE the Purology dry shampoo. I've tried others that make my hair feel so weird and dirty. It smells good too!

I have been wanting to try that Mascara next! I will have to get it now. I also use the rewind by Maybelline! I love it!
My favorite things lately are my Clinique Party Eyes Palette! It has everything labeled with numbers and where they go on your eye lid. I am also in love with Lush! I love everything there! I love the Mask of Magnanimity!! Plus it's safe to use during pregnancy! I am 26 weeks along with my baby boy!

This post was perfect timing… I have been on the hunt for a new dry shampoo! Thanks for your recommendations! I have seriously tried about 5 different ones and they either make a mess, or the bottle/spray nozzle breaks! Is the Dry Bar Triple Sec easy to use and apply?

I love ready about beauty products, too, even though I only purchase like one product a year (limited cabinet space and all). This drybar triple sec sounds to die for. I have thin hair, but a lot of it, so when it gets long, it weighs itself down. I can't wait to try!

I've tired a lot of eye primers and I agree this is a good one but I think my favorite is Lorac's Behind the Scenes Eye Primer. It's matte and light and incredible

I just have to say how much I love your reviews! I've grown to trust your opinion so much and whenever I try products that you review, they always live up to the way you described them! 🙂 Plus, my hair and skin color are pretty much the same as yours, so I know whatever colors of makeup you use, I will probably use the same and whatever hair products you use will probably work similar on my hair (which is very fine as well – ugh!) – Makes life soOo much easier! THANK YOU!!

Definitely going to try the drybar product! Just a random question about the self-tanner as another pregnant lady, does it say on the bottle that it's safe for use during pregnancy? I wanted to get a spray tan at a reputable place, and they wouldn't let me due to pregnancy. Bummer!

I looooove the new Bare Minerals Complexion rescue. When I put on makeup I use that, Tarte amazonian clay concealer for under my eyes, Anastasia Brow Wiz and Clear Gel, MAC peaches blush, and I love all of Loreal's mascaras.
