Christmas 2015

Another year, another wonderful Christmas. And we are so sad that it’s over! I hope you all had an amazing holiday weekend, filled with lots of love & happiness.
Our festivities started early Christmas Eve morning, with a day full of wrapping & baking. We managed to get all three kids ready & out the door on time for church, which is one of my favorite services of the year. Harper held her own candle this year and was just beaming with pride. We found ourselves scrambling through dinner, baths & bedtime, trying to make sure we had enough time to finish the mountains of work that was left for us. Everyone was far too excited to sleep, and we had to read The Night Before Christmas not once, but twice, before finally getting the girls settled down in bed.

Playing Santa is so much fun.

The girls were so excited to open their presents, they got everything on their wishlist, Eloise’s stuffed puppy, Harper’s mermaid fin, and their hula hoops that they played with all day long. Claire loved to sit back and watch, her sisters entertain her more than anything else & you could see the happiness all over her face. She most enjoyed some new teethers & squishy blocks to chew on, and then being passed around between grandparents, aunts & uncles to snuggle her sweet little face. The girls played tirelessly throughout the day with all of their new toys, while we watched Christmas Vacation on repeat on the couch. We had all of our family and a few friends over for Christmas dinner, which ended in playing cards until way past our bedtime.

And at the end of the day, this was the only family photo we got. The girls were tired, and happy, and in their new matching pajamas from grandma. We had a messy house, full of good food & good company. We are so thankful for His abundant blessings.
“Hark! The herald angels sing, glory to the newborn king!”

Until next year. XO

Have you played cards against humanity? I was introduced to it this Christmas and had a blast! But we had to keep the little ones out due to the grown up nature of the game. Love all your pics looks like it was truly a magical day!.

What cookie cutters and cookie dough recipe do you use for your letter cookies? I am looking for some to buy for my son! And need a good recipe that doesn't spread!
