Whimsical Play Space with Pillowfort for Target

We are so excited to be teaming up with TargetStyle today to share the new Pillowfort for Target collection!! So dreamy & whimsical, every piece is so fun for any kids space! We are in the process of moving the girls into a bigger room, where we will be combining their bedroom & the playroom into one. For now, all of their stuff seems to be strewn about the house, so we were excited to style a space with Pillowfort & put together a fun little corner in their new room!
In the beginning stages of planning out their room, of course we turned to Pinterest & all of the inspiration from the Pillowfort collection. So much eye candy. I loved the bold black + whites, adding pops of floral & grouping multiple items together, and even putting a crown on it! 😉 When you have two girls who will share the space, it’s always a good idea to have more than one of each thing! I love very clean lines, open spaces & play spaces with a modern, but eclectic feel. Black & white is always my favorite color palate to start with, and I love mixing in pinks, corals & golds, which also happen to be the girls’ favorite colors. I was most drawn to the Floral Fields & Discovery Den collections, I love the fairy-tale inspired elements & used them as my main inspiration for the space.

In the corner of the playroom, we have a chalkboard wall & just enough space for our old teepee that the girls have loved for years. I knew we wanted to incorporate unicorns, so we went with the unicorn head wall decor & the unicorn throw pillows. The girls were absolutely obsessed with them, Harper especially loved their braids! I recently picked up the spring floral paper garland which I thought would be fun to wrap around the top of the teepee, and loved how the flower pillow matched perfectly & was the perfect pop of pink to add to the space! The gold polka dotted storage cubes are perfect for any room, they can fold up easily if you aren’t using them, but they are a super stylish way to hold toys, books, or in our case, tutus for playing dress up!

This whole space is meant to encourage playing make believe, which my girls love to do & I know they will LOVE spending time over here! 🙂

I just saw the unicorn head at my local Target store yesterday and I wanted to buy it but I'm still planning my kids shared room. You styled it perfectly! Thanks for sharing!

Hi Mrsross, this is a Reg size Moozle teepee 🙂
This is the smallest Teepe I sell, great for in a child's room, the garvin girls also have the MIDI size which is better for when they all playing together, Jessica tends to keep this one downstairs in the family area (great for story time too as an adult can climb inside) x
