Waterfall Adventures

It’s not every day that you stumble across a place this beautiful. We went looking for a spot by the water that the girls could play & found this gorgeous gem hidden behind some trees. They were completely mesmerized by the waterfall & could have spent the entire day here playing in the sand and water. We try to save all the good stuff like this for the weekends when Brandon is home, but little Thursday morning adventures are good for the soul!

Also trust me when I say, sitting on a (sharp) rock, balancing a baby while trying to ensure that your two toddlers don’t go scuba diving is not as easy as these pictures might make it seem. But the splashing, laughing & amazement in these girls’ eyes made every second of it worth it.

So thankful for my sweet friend & incredibly talented photographer Ashley Scobey who agreed to meet us over here. This morning was magical, despite the amount of sand that now covers every square inch of the interior of my van.

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”

As a Mama watching your kids experience new things is one of the most incredible things. And doing it on a weekday even though it might be hard is a fun adventure for everyone!

I didn't even realize that was Eloise for some reason with the bangs! Points for being brave and venturing out with all three on a solo trip no less in the water!

What a gem of a location!! I am obsessed with Ellie's picture, that dreamy bokeh— you don't happen to know what lens she was using then do you?

Sacrificed just one sweatshirt and my favorite pair of socks because I was way too lazy to change into painting clothes but overall: worth it. Also don’t look too close, 100 year old plaster walls are the opposite of smooth. On the hunt for some fun art next!! Swipe for before and afters 🖤
