Snack Time with Wonderful Halos

As moms, I think we can all agree that the most commonly spoken phrase from toddlers is “can we have a snack?” and in our house, with three girls, it’s basically a chorus all day long. When Wonderful Halos reached out about sending us some samples, we had to fill them in on a little secret, we already had an entire drawer full in our fridge.

Snack time for us is after school & after nap time, and there are a number of reasons why we choose Wonderful Halos mandarins. We of course love that they are healthy! Unlike empty calories in crackers or all of the sugar found in most kids’ snacks, we feel good about giving the girls fruit and can always say YES when they ask for seconds. Because they always do. I love that they are easy enough for the girls to peel & they don’t have seeds. There’s nothing worse than giving kids a snack and they’re finished with it before you can even open one for the next kid, the girls take their time meticulously peeling their Halos, pulling all of the pieces apart and usually lining them up before eating them. Five minutes of peace and quiet? Yes please!

And last, they’re deliciously addicting!!! I love when I can snack on what they’re having, you know as a mom you better not dare try to eat something else unless you are hiding in the pantry! 😉 Hope you will give them a go, if you don’t have a fridge full of them already!

My son loves mandarin oranges too! I didn’t think to have him try to peel them. How did you teach your girls?
