Christmas 2017

Merry Christmas, friends!!

It has been a crazy month, so we were so excited to just slow down, stay home & enjoy all of the festivities together. The kids had school up until Friday, so we spent the weekend catching up on baking, shopping & watching Christmas movies on repeat. We hosted Christmas Eve dinner early in the afternoon before church and decided to go all out with a turkey and all of the sides (too good of a meal to only eat once a year!) After church, the girls decorated gingerbread house cupcakes (because in all of the hustle & bustle we forgot to get them early enough and they sold out as we got too close to the big day). They ended up being just as fun & might have to be a yearly addition to our gingerbread house making!

Santa’s Elves were up late working on all of the last minute wrapping & Christmas morning came bright & early. Harper and Eloise were in our bed before the sun came up, but we had to send them back upstairs to play quietly in their room until we could wake up Claire. We finally got her up around seven, and the girls dove right in! Harper was most excited for her new doll that looked like her, Eloise was quite content with her not so “real baby” (it actually pees and burps so she was a happy camper), and Claire’s favorite present was Minnie puzzles & PEZ. We let the mess linger all day, made homemade cinnamon rolls & watched Christmas Vacation. We took the girls to my parents for Christmas night & had dinner, and they were so excited to get a new dollhouse!

We let them camp downstairs and fall asleep by the tree before carrying them up to their beds, they are never ready for Christmas to be over & neither are we!

While I am so sad this week is coming to an end, we are SO excited for the new year and everything that 2018 may bring! We hope you had an incredible holiday with all of your family & friends, and are soaking up all the last little bits of Christmas magic!! xo

I love the colors in your life. I say that because it’s in everything, the girls outfits, the ornaments, the rug, pictures. So so beautiful. You’re a lucky girl! I need a babe cave so my hubby can’t complain about the girliness 🙂

Sacrificed just one sweatshirt and my favorite pair of socks because I was way too lazy to change into painting clothes but overall: worth it. Also don’t look too close, 100 year old plaster walls are the opposite of smooth. On the hunt for some fun art next!! Swipe for before and afters 🖤
