Weekend Fun + Bathroom Reno

Happy Monday!! Hope you all had a fun weekend! We spent most of ours doing some much needed Spring cleaning & preparing for our master bathroom remodel that kicked off this morning. We took a super exciting trip to the floor & tile store to pick out some things for the bathroom, then woke up at the crack of dawn today when the contractor came to start demo. We chose white subway tile for the shower/tub surround & a white hex tile for the flooring, all with grey grout. I am going to put a darker coat of charcoal on the walls & Brandon is excited to build some new cedar shelves for the bathroom wall. It’s going to be a crazy week but we are so looking forward to the end result!!

The girls had a birthday party to attend, so we went there & got our bounce-house on! Harper requested blueberry shortstack pancakes for breakfast Sunday morning, we took a trip to the mall to get the girls a few new pairs of pajamas since they are both growing right before our eyes (seriously obsessed with these mermaid ones!) & ended the weekend relaxing in the hammocks.
We are so excited for Easter & hope to dye some eggs with the girls this week. One mess at a time! 🙂 Hope you all have a great start to your week!! XO

Love the color combo for the bathroom! We have the same theme, but opposite – dark gray tiles on the floor and shower, white walls and wood vanity/shelving. I can't wait to see the finished product!

Oh my goodness I cannot imagine all of that noise with two little ones. We have one (16 month little girl) and another girl on the way in 9 weeks! We are finishing up a basement reno – which we thought would have been done a month ago and I am going crazy. BUT I'm sure the end result will be fabulous and well worth the interrupted naps!!

Like the white tiles and grey grout sounds good too. Interested to see how it all turns out.
I'm kind of jealous you were hanging out on hammocks this weekend – up here we are still in snow and ice. However, I got to spend some time with just my little guy (which is a rare thing with three kids) enjoying the outdoors. http://theplaceunderthepine.blogspot.ca/2015/03/time-with-just-one-child.html

My girls have that Elsa dress and have torn it to shreds with how much love it has gotten since Halloween! Eloise looks very impressed with the pancake tower. 😉

Your girls are a little over 2 years apart, right? How was Harper when Eloise was born? My oldest was almost 4 when my 2 year old was born, and now we are having another in May and I'm really nervous about how my 2 year old will handle it since she is still so dependent on me. Hoping you had some insight/tips!

We re-did our half bath floor with that tile but with the black ones in it and the grey grout. It looks so good!! I love subway tile, we were thinking about using that as the back splash in the kitchen. Can't wait to see what you guys do!

Your girls are adorable! I remember how tough it was to do renovations with little ones around – definitely a challenge. Now we are ready to update our bathroom again but the kids are old enough to help out.
