Minted Design Challenge

I am sooo honored & excited to be a guest judge over at Minted for their most recent design challenge, Valentine’s Day cards!!! I have always been a huge fan of Minted & I especially love how they feature independent artists. For each design challenge, artists may submit designs for voting among a panel of judges, and the winning design will be available for sale. So exciting!! This keeps their selection so fresh & unique, it is always so fun to browse new designs with each holiday. I have always loved Valentine’s Day so much & was thrilled to look through dozens of submissions to pick my top favorites. These were the ones I loved most, do you have a favorite?! I would love to hear your thoughts!
Ultimately, I chose Sew Amazing in the top right, by artist Erica Krystek. You had me at kraft paper! 😉 Such a fun design & I loved the mix of colors and type.

I can’t wait to shop for holiday cards very soon!!
And now back to our regularly scheduled Halloween programming. XO

This is a fun assignment! The bottom left reminds me of Rifle Paper.

Great pick with the sewing machine! I actually love the bright pupil one, maybe just because I am a teacher? What a great project for you!

Definitely drooling over that sewing machine one! Second favorite would have to be "I like you a bunch". Super cute.

I like the piñata one. I feel like it has the best thought out concept! The sewing machine one is awesome too but I kinda wish there were more to it than just the sewing machine. Maybe if the spool were in a heart shape? Or if the sewing machine was actually sewing something on fabric. Sorry my GD critiques from college come out! They're all beautiful though! 🙂

Impulsively painted this little powder/laundry roo Impulsively painted this little powder/laundry room green and I’m obsessed. Sacrificed just one sweatshirt and my favorite pair of socks because I was way too lazy to change into painting clothes but overall: worth it. Also don’t look too close, 100 year old plaster walls are the opposite of smooth. On the hunt for some fun art next!! Swipe for before and afters 🖤
