Weekend Trip to the Mountains

Over the weekend, we headed north for a quick getaway to the Blue Ridge mountains & stayed at a friend’s cabin with our family. The girls have been begging to go “camping” for a while, but since it is still way too cold outside, we thought this would be a fun option instead. My parents and my brother & his family came too, so it was even more fun to spend time with them all doing nothing but relaxing & enjoying the view! Brandon was slightly disappointed that we didn’t see any bears, the rest of us were relieved. We did lots of exploring, danced on the deck, made s’mores & had an exhausting ping pong tournament. But nothing could top the sunset over the mountains, Harper could not believe the sky turned all of her favorite colors! 😉
Claire was sorta fussy the whole time, and turns out she was sprouting two teeth!! She must have known the breakfast spread was going to be worth it. I have a feeling we will be seeing this cabin again real soon! 😉
Hope you enjoyed your weekend!! XO

I had to google Blue Ridge Mts… looks like the perfect weekend getaway, well, second to a beach but I'd take it. And some of the s'mores.

Looks lovely! So funny about the bears- we moved from CA to New Jersey last fall and I'm back in CA the kids this week and my husband called to tell me there was a bear in our backyard in NJ…. in the middle of the day….

The bangs!!! I love it! We were in the Smoky Mountains and drove about 200 miles up the Blue Ridge Parkway last fall. I can't wait to go back!

Sacrificed just one sweatshirt and my favorite pair of socks because I was way too lazy to change into painting clothes but overall: worth it. Also don’t look too close, 100 year old plaster walls are the opposite of smooth. On the hunt for some fun art next!! Swipe for before and afters 🖤
