Good Snaps Workshop Recap

This past weekend, we held our first ever Good Snaps Workshop, a hands-on learning experience in capturing moments. We hosted our event with Scobey Photography at the beautiful Avalon in Alpharetta, and enjoyed an afternoon of learning, laughter & plennnty of iced coffee. We covered everything from learning photography basics, to navigating through our cameras, editing & finding your photography style. We learned that everyone there had a vision, they knew what kind of photos they wanted to get but some of the technical details of the camera or editing process were missing. We were able to spend quite a bit of time doing some more hands-on learning, where we worked with each individual to answer their questions & help walk them through getting the perfect shot.
We got so much great feedback from everyone & saw lots of “ah-ha!” moments happening all around the room, which made us so very happy! To the amazing group of girls that took a chance & came to our first workshop, it was a learning experience for all of us, and we love you for it!!

A huge thank you to all of our sponsors & everyone who helped spoil our attendees, you can see more swag bag details on Instagram.

We are also soooo excited to share that we will be bringing this workshop to you online very soon!! You’ll be able to watch the workshop & follow along from the comfort of your own home. You can sign up here to be the first to hear when the workshop is available, we can’t wait to share it with you!
Of course, we have also been talking about how much we would love to do another workshop, and based on feedback from this one, something that has an even larger hands-on portion where we can really help you get to know your cameras & your shooting style! We would love to know WHERE you would like to see us host the next one, so let us know in the comments below!
PS. If even one person suggests Burlington, VT or Salem, MA, we are so there. 😉

  1. Cincinnati, OH please!!! I have no clue how to use my camera. I have been an avid follower of yours from the beginning! I also have three kids very close in ages to yours.

  2. Salem Mass! That's close enough to Maine for me to drive! In September so you can go see where they shot the opening scene of Hocus Pocus! 🙂

  3. ORLANDO!!! ?????? Nice central location, not too far for you to travel, you can visit some of your FL friends, bring the fam and I can get you in to Sea World for free, I can send you home with a fresh batch of cleaning products… What else can I say to sell you? 😉

  4. Twist my arm… Salem MA! It's 15 mins from me and I would be the first to sign up! I got my hubby a brand new camera for Christmas in anticipation of our baby coming… she's now 7 weeks old and neither of us know how to use the damn thing other than the auto settings, pointing and shooting! Plus I've been a fan since before Harper was born and would love to meet you and learn from you! I'm looking into starting a small side business bc I really dont want to go back to the corporate world when my maternity leave is over, and you are my inspiration! So again I say… Salem MA!!! #doit!

  5. I'm in NH so Burlington, VT or Salem, MA would be perfect for me! Salem is probably a bit closer though! But both places are amazing! I'd want to go to either!

  6. Metro Detroit please! I would LOVE to take your class. I've had a dslr since my oldest was born 2.5 years ago and am ashamed to say I still use the automatic setting the majority of the time!

  7. OK. I'll suggest BOTH Burlington VT and Salem, MA…I lived in Burlington for the past four years (VT is heaven on earth!) and now live in the Boston area. So either one works for me =)

  8. I'm seeing a lot of Minneapolis! Twin cities are great plus we have: Mall of America, Water Park of America, theatres like NYC, lake Calhoun for celeb sightings, First Ave: Prince memorial, and much more. Just giving a little extra nudge towards us Minnesotans ?

  9. Please come to Portland Maine!! Or Salem, MA I would totally drive. I've been wanting to get a "real" camera for a while now this would be just the push I need 🙂

  10. Eek! Winter Park, FL. We have beautiful scenery so you could do some outdoors photos and showcase natural light settings. Plus, not to brag, but we are home to the Rifle Paper Co flagship store…;)

  11. I would love to attend a conference! It's always good to learn more and I would love to get to meet you in person! I'm in Seattle so that would be awesome. Looks like there are others interested here too!

  12. Would love if you came to Cedar Rapids Iowa or Iowa City. I am the program developer for Kirkwood and could program a fun night for this class! Also we used to work together a long time ago at Dillards (Perfume Counter) Holla!

  13. I love the online option! I live in the middle of no where in New Mexico and would never suggest you come out here. haha. I'm also interested in blog tutorials. I've been tossing with the idea of my own cooking/baking blog but have no idea where to start. I love your big and have been following for 3 years and have LOVED reading about you and your family. Serious inspiration to me!

  14. Salem and Burlington are both great towns which I visit frequently! I highly suggest Portland Maine as well, another very cute town which I like even more then Burlington!
