Beach Bound

I hope you all had an amazing Mother’s Day with your families, I loved seeing your photos & hearing from you all on Instagram! We had a great weekend soaking in lots of sweet family time, finishing up a few projects & packing! The girls are done with school & we are so excited to be kicking off our Summer break with a trip to Rosemary Beach! We have never been, but I have heard SO many amazing things about this area and we cannot wait to explore!! The girls have been packing their bags since last week, digging out all of their favorite swimsuits & tutus (because who doesn’t need a tutu for the beach?) & staying up late whispering in bed about their big plans. 1. Sand castles. 2. Playing beach (at the beach…?) and 3. Sneaking popcorn into their beach bags. I am rounding up some festive favorites & it is totally putting me in the mood for a beach beverage!

I am drawn to lots of tassels + poms, fun prints & oversized hats to shade from the sun! I bought the swimsuit pictured above & absolutely love it, it is SO soft & fits so well (runs small), super flattering for the flat chested! 😉 We also ordered this beach tent, hoping it will come in handy for a few other fun trips we have planned this summer & I am sure we will get to use it in the back yard!

If you have any beach faves you are loving or recommendations for our trip to Rosemary, I would LOVE to hear!! Happy Monday! XO

We have been DYING to go there too!!! It’s a 9-hour drive, though, which is a little daunting with the baby. But, I think I do want to plan something for later this summer. Can’t wait to hear your recommendations!!! Wish I had some for you!! 🙂 Have fun!!!

You have to wander over to Alys Beach, walk around and eat at Charlie’s Donut truck, George’s, Pipers or Fonville Press for coffee. Rosemary has some super cute shops and restaurants, Le Crema is our fav! Also check out Seaside for awesome food and shopping ?

We love Rosemary and just went in March! Definitely rent bikes + a trailer because it’s a really fun way to get around. You can bike down to Alys beach in the morning and go to the Donut Truck and splash pad. We mainly cooked since there were 6 young kids with our group but Cowgirl Kitchen has good casseroles if you get sick of cooking. For a grown up night out, definitely get drinks and dinner at the Pearl Hotel – the rooftop is great for happy hour. They also do movies and concerts on the lawn so check the schedule. Have fun!

La Crema is a wonderful tapas restaurant for dinner! Bud & Alley’s Taco Bar for a quick lunch! If you want to venture out Louis Louis is amazing! Enjoy the Emerald Coast! Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival in Fort Walton Beach is the first weekend in June if that’s when you’re down, and it’s entertainment for kids and adults!

It’s too easy: make a white cake (from a box), poke holes in it with a toothpick, make jello according to directions in a saucepan and pour over top, and then put in the fridge for 3-5 hours to cool and set! Impulsively painted this little powder/laundry roo Impulsively painted this little powder/laundry room green and I’m obsessed. Sacrificed just one sweatshirt and my favorite pair of socks because I was way too lazy to change into painting clothes but overall: worth it. Also don’t look too close, 100 year old plaster walls are the opposite of smooth. On the hunt for some fun art next!! Swipe for before and afters 🖤
