We painted the fireplace!! Our dining room was the room I was most excited to decorate because of the fun built ins and the beautiful fireplace, but as soon as we got in here, I was stumped. After pouring over inspiration pictures and rooms I loved, I knew this room needed something else. And the answer was a bold black fireplace!! The windows and ceilings are so tall that the black fireplace really grounds the space. I am picturing it already with layers of greenery and lights for the holidays while a fire glows inside, can you see it?! Brandon wants to build a new table for this room but currently I’m just trying to decide on some dining chairs. I can’t wait to eat a real dinner in this room!!
The color we used was Sherwin Williams Black Magic (don’t judge a book by its cover, but I definitely judged this paint color on it’s name!!) in a satin finish. It is a very pure black with no visible undertones.
