Merry Christmas Week!

Happy Christmas Eve Eve!!! Hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas week so far! It has been nonstop rain here, wishing we could just turn it into some snow. This weekend we had a little holiday open house, we baked up lots of treats, made some festive drinks & played some reindeer games. Cards Against Humanity got even more fun when we decided to write in our own answers in place of the cards! ๐Ÿ˜‰

We did a little last minute shopping with my mom, had a fun lunch date & then took Harper out for a surprise Polar Express ride to look at lights, complete with some popcorn & hot chocolate. It was a very merry weekend! We have presents under the tree now from grandparents, so basically every other sentence out of Harper’s mouth is something like “and if I do that, I can open just one present, okay?!” Such a little negotiator.
And Eloise, our little crawler, has a brand new move. As soon as she gets on the wood floors, she likes to get on her hands & feet, and touch her head to the ground. I always tell Harper she is doing yoga, it is the cutest thing, she will just hold her head there & look around. So the other day, she comes out in the kitchen, and dunks the top of her head right in Izzy’s bowl of water. Harper yells, “mommy! Sissy is doing yoga in the cat water!!!”
Never a dull moment, no matter the time of year! ๐Ÿ˜‰

We were talking with some friends the other night about all of our childhood holiday memories & how Christmas day is one of the happiest, but also saddest, days of the year. The day you spend so much time preparing for & being excited about, sadly comes to a quiet end once the kids are asleep. So for the next few days we will be soaking in every single happy moment with the girls & the rest of our family that will be in town before it is all over in the blink of an eye.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas full of magic & memories! I hope you all have the happiest holiday with the ones that you love!! XO

I wonder if she'll always call her "sissy." The twins started calling each other "sister" at about her age and now they are 6 and still do it. They get the strangest smiles from strangers when they say things like "Hey, Sister, come check out this candy cane, its big as my head!"

Hey! If you like the 'write in' version of Cards Against Humanity, check out The Game of Things (can buy online or at Target!) It's become a party favorite at my house. It can be "appropriate" if you're playing with Grandma- or, if you're like us and love inappropriate party games, it can get rowdy! Lots of our friends who are loyal 'Cards' fans have been transformed to Game of Things junkies after playing ๐Ÿ™‚
