Five Fall Treats to Try

The can’t remember the last time I made homemade oatmeal cream pies, but I’m next to positive it was when I was pregnant with Harper. Funny how time flies, and how I have had plans every year to make them again because I remember how absolutely delicious they were! Last week we embarked on the day long journey to make these again (ok, not really a day, but in the midst of trying to do school and keep six small hands out of the batter, it did take more time than we planned). BUT. They were one hundred percent worth it and beyond all of our wildest Fall treat dreams!!!

I am not a recipe creator, I am a recipe follower, and THIS IS THE RECIPE WE USED. The only difference is that I also added almond extract to the filling, because I add almond extract to anything I possibly can. And you should too!

Thought I would round up a few more Fall sweet treats that are on our radar if you are in the baking mood these days, bonus, measuring recipes totally counts as homeschool math for our kiddos, right?!

PUMPKIN CINNAMON ROLLS

MAPLE SUGAR COOKIES

STUFFED JACK-O-LANTERN COOKIES

and last, these SPOOKY S’MORES BARS are soooo fun and a perfect Halloween party treat!!

EEek! So many fun treats!! What’s on your Fall menu this year?! Would love to know what some of your favorites are! Off to school friends, have the best day ever!! XO

My son has already requested that we make spooky eye pretzel bark! I will be making mini Apple pies and puppy chow (muddie buddies) and of course pumpkin chocolate chip muffins. Those maple sugar cookies would make my husband swoon! Can’t wait to try them.

My grandma ALWAYS made “puppy chow” for Halloween, so I try my best to keep the tradition going. Rice krispie treat mummies, and your almond bark googly eyes party mix! ?

Wow, those look amazing. It’s 10:30 pm and I’m exhausted, but I totally want to go make them right now. Do you do vanilla and almond extract, or just almond? I’m intrigued at the thought of pumpkin cinnamon rolls. Might have to try those too. Thanks for sharing!

Can’t wait to make these this weekend! The perfect fall treat! How much almond extract do you add? Do you substitute it for the vanilla or just in addition?
    Thanks!

Almond extract is SO good. It’s usually the secret ingredient in wedding cakes that makes them so yummy!!

Wish, wish, wish you could change your website to have the link open in a new tab. Everytime I click a link, I close out the tab and lose your website. I would love if you could make that simple change. 🙂
