14 Must Watch Movies in February

Ahh, rom coms! Whether it’s a cozy date night in or just something nostalgic on tv in the background while I work, I am head over heels for all of these flicks. I am rounding up fourteen of my favorite romantic comedies & love stories that are perfect for a cozy February night in!

1. It’s Complicated
Brandon and I watched this together a few weekends ago and it has been on repeat ever since. It’s hard sometimes to get him to agree to a rom com, I knew this classic would get him laughing!
2. Father of the Bride 1 and 2
We watched these on repeat during Christmas break, they’re such classics and even the kids loved them!!
3. Because I Said So
Yes, give me all the Diane Keaton! I love this fun girly flick, the singing scenes are my absolute favorite and it always makes me want to wear polka dots!
4. Valentine’s Day
This is such an underrated movie, it has so many sweet story lines & lots of my favorite movie stars. You will love love love the story line between Bradley Cooper (ooh la la!!) and Julia Roberts (love her so much!).
5. Pretty Woman
Yep, another classic and again, I love anything with Julia Roberts. Forever crying over the rainy limo scene at the end. It must have been loooooove.
6. Bridges of Madison County
Ok this one is old and totally heartbreaking in a million ways, but it is such a classic and clearly I’m also obsessed with Meryl Streep. She reminds me so much of my grandma in her younger years! Also takes place in Iowa, so of course I love it even more.
7. My Best Friend’s Wedding
More Julia Roberts, and this is one of the best bittersweet movie endings of all time. I could also listen to this soundtrack all day long.
8. You’ve Got Mail
“Don’t you love New York in the fall? It makes me want to buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address.”
9. A Star is Born
Ughhh such a heartbreaking (but beautiful) love story, but this made the list because you truly feel all the feels. I think I cried for weeks after this one, but I loved it so much and the soundtrack can stay forever.
10. Wedding Crashers
Forever one of our favorite movies that we quote on a daily basis. Also subconsciously why I think we loved the name Claire. Yes, I know it’s wildly inappropriate in so many ways but I am here for it. And also want to be a professional wedding crasher when I grow up.

Honorable mentions include 11. The Notebook, 12. Something’s Gotta Give, 13. Crazy Stupid Love and 14. ALL of the holiday movies that I could watch over and over forever.
Can you tell we LOVE love stories over here?! Hopefully there is at least one movie on this list that you haven’t seen, make some popcorn and cozy up, you’re in for a treat!

Did your grandma ever make you a jello poke cake?! Did your grandma ever make you a jello poke cake?! They’re so fluffy and refreshing!! And always our girls birthday cake request! It’s too easy: make a white cake (from a box), poke holes in it with a toothpick, make jello according to directions in a saucepan and pour over top, and then put in the fridge for 3-5 hours to cool and set! Frost with whipped cream and serve chilled!!

Impulsively painted this little powder/laundry roo Impulsively painted this little powder/laundry room green and I’m obsessed. Sacrificed just one sweatshirt and my favorite pair of socks because I was way too lazy to change into painting clothes but overall: worth it. Also don’t look too close, 100 year old plaster walls are the opposite of smooth. On the hunt for some fun art next!! Swipe for before and afters 🖤
